North is used in the relationship DistanceAndAngles to indicate which notion of North is being used with respect to azimuth measurements.

geodetic: This corresponds to the Geodetic Pole, the primary pole of the reference ellipsoid which is directed toward the Conventional International Origin (i.e., the northern pole of the averaged axis of rotation of the earth for the years 1900 - 1905).

grid: This corresponds to theoretical North as defined by the chosen map projection (ie. Universal Transverse Mercator).
